The first set of revelations that prompted The Lord Mandelson to be ousted were just *the first set of revelations*.

The initial tranche of Epstein files released was ~1,000 pages, the second tranche was *three million*.

Did they think the bad times were over? Are these people actual children?

My timfoil hat theory is that there was a purposeful effort to get Rowling tweeting all-transphobia all-the-time in part to discourage the organized social justice movement that had formed around the fandom and had had some real-world impacts (see e.g.: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fandom_...)

Remember that Mandelson quote? "We are intensely relaxed about people getting filthy rich, as long as they pay their taxes". By "we" he meant the Labour government. Turns out that he - as a government minister - was lobbying on behalf of his filthy rich chums to ensure they paid less tax.

Here, because of the libel laws, we call such behaviour cronyism, or back-scratching. Anywhere else, there would be a different name for it. Corruption.
