Combined budget 2026 of £255bln for the two departments and I doubt there is a ‘major row’ over one department cutting its £60mln contribution. A ‘source’ told me they hadn’t even noticed it and must have been a rounding error and Darren’s just bringing the hobnobs as he always does on a Wednesday
