Why would I want to lose $? If it's a loss I have lost $$. JPMorgan Asset Management is tapping into a booming market for wealthy investors with the launch of a private fund designed to maximize after-tax returns by generating losses.

From 2018 to 2024, the tax rate paid by eight major retailers was slashed from 30% to just 17.5%.

The CEOs of those major retailers were paid a collective $1.3 billion.

Meanwhile, the average worker at those stores was paid less than $32,000 in 2024.

Nothing trickled down.

Who is cookin the books? The so-called core CPI, which excludes food and energy, increased 2.6% in November, the slowest pace since 2021, the BLS said. That also happens to be below every est. in a Bloomberg survey of economists. Some economists seem to agree on something else: the numbers are off.

Today's abysmal jobs report is a reminder that tax cuts for corporations and the rich don’t create jobs or grow the economy.

What's required is investment in working people — and better wages.

When workers have money to spend, the economy grows and businesses create more jobs.

Remember this.

Real wages (after inflation) were growing at 2.0% last year. Now it’s 0.8% — “clearly playing into what the majority of American households would define as an affordability crisis.”
