Lots of people wanna say 77 million people are irredeemable. I think that's wrong, but lots of those people are, but the real solution is a positive vision of real change that mobilizes nonvoters. Then we don't have to give a shit about these fucking dorks.

"That’s why I hate New Year’s. I want every morning to be a new year’s for me. Every day I want to reckon with myself, ... renew myself. No day set aside for rest. I choose my pauses myself, when I feel drunk with the intensity of life and I want to plunge into animality to draw from it new vigour."

they don't want you to know because it'd be too dangerous in the hands of the general public, but a coke zero + shot of espresso over ice actually heals every ailment

On the last possession of the first half Nikola Jokić got stepped on and his knee appeared to buckle. He had a significant limp walking off the floor. I sure hope it is nothing serious. #NBASky (1/2)

at this point waymos seem more or less completely integrated into austin traffic, to the point where i do not even register a thought when seeing one. is this abnormal? are most people still surprised by driverless cars?

the talent density at austin systems is actually insane. that’s why you 🫵 should come by and give a talk and hang out sometime
Great turnout at Austin Systems! We did lightning talks and had some great demos, including a programmable laser projector and a TUI for burning mixtape CDs at a party (made in @ratatui.rs). Join us Jan 21 for the next one! austinsystems.org

been using vivaldi for at least a year now, on windows mac and ios, and it rules
“Vivaldi CEO Jon von Tetzchner accused other companies like Google and Microsoft of ‘reshaping the address bar into an assistant prompt, turning the joy of exploring into inactive spectatorship.’”

one of my favorite moments of the year was when a high level manager at work finished giving an AI hype speech to a big room of people and in the following silence pleaded, "this is a positive message, guys!"

eat shit, no one's buying it
Everybody hates it and any claims that “this happens with any disruptive tech” are obvious and pathetic cope. Shut down your AI depts and take the L large corporations. This is not it
Nobody wants AI. We want Mexican Coke and McDonald’s to bring back the dollar menu. That’s it, you fucking pigs. Easy.
