Absolutely: checkpoints, self-recognition, and now Tregs all getting up but the discovery of the cellular mediators (and where they come from) continually snubbed. Was told to me that the Robert Good tolerance fiasco may have tainted the field as he would likely have been included in a thymus gong.

Preach. Quite possibly apocryphal, but I had heard that the work was tainted by the likely third member that may have gotten the nod, who was tarnished by the painted mice fiasco. www.nytimes.com/1974/05/25/a...
