last week i remembered that macOS lets you set your own icons and that *I* have the power to delegitimize the professionalism of the software that runs on my machine, so here's a thread of the 16 new icons i've made so far

I scanner has decided that it refuses to work unless the printer also works. I’m never getting one of these all in one pieces of shit ever again.

One of my biggest skill gaps as an artist is being able to think three-dimensionally. It means I am overly reliant on reference and can't extrapolate small changes from imagination.
So I'm doing exercises like this- where I draw an outfit from ref and then draw again from imagination at a new angle

A batch of pencil sketches. I've never really excelled at faces but I've been practicing really hard. I don't particularly like most of them, but I think more artists should show work they aren't thrilled about. I found that genuinely helpful and nice to see when I was a beginner. #sketchbook

I’m torn between whether I wanna post my fan art on Tumblr for the social media reach, or posting it on Bluesky because the art community here is so fire. Also I’m an old woman and I don’t understand Tumblr, I’m 38.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!
