Years ago, this pretty, probably bogus meme jolted me right out of my old-school "just-get-help-and deal" attitude. I stared at each panel and kept thinking "OMG! This is how those brains actually work!" My next eureka: so maybe these conditions are caused by genetics? Obv not by volition! ...2/

Bipolar disorder is a heavily stigmatized mental illness. Using it to insult someone you hate is just rude and harms actual people with this disorder, as it spreads misconceptions about mental illness and conflates them with the behavior of "monsters." That is exactly WHY this kind of thing sucks.
