white establishment media continues its shameful record of yielding to orchestrated pro-Israel campaigns instead of promoting healing and humanising.
On Wednesday the Sydney Morning Herald published an opinion piece by Cumberland City councillor Ahmed Ouf about Muslim-Jewish solidarity in the wake of Bondi.

The piece was quickly taken down.

We're publishing it here in full.

Reminder: it is not correct to refer to Conway as a "Never Trumper."

He was, in fact, a Trumper before he became a not-Trumper. He was literally a top pick to run Trump's DOJ in the first term. He was absolutely a Trumper.

It's Trump policy that U.S. tech must be globally dominant.

It's also US policy that its tech corps must be free from:

Regulation. Taxation. Fact checking and monitoring for hate lies, disinformation.

All are now being treated as attacks on the U.S. itself.

This is wild.

In October 2024, I was able to review chats in almost real time from a Signal group comprised of dozens of Nazis in Europe, the US & Australia.

They were calling for coordinated strikes against Jewish institutions, migrant camps, government buildings and other targets on 10/16/24 1/6

One of the reasons why I go so hard on science misinformation/disinformation, is that as a working scientist it is frustrating to see your research misreported to push an agenda.

For example, consider this piece of right-wing propaganda from The Telegraph that was just published

But late last week, some additional news broke that makes the whole thing even more grotesque: turns out the campaign pushing hardest for the ban was run by an ad agency that makes gambling ads.
