in search of winding rivers to soften my fall,
carried to banks where lovers trace dreams on the wind

with words growing
from irregular breath
barely tinted air

In the dining room,
traces of tears linger still,
The #lobster now a brittle shell upon the plate,
The champagne's bubbles faded to nothing

Two summer clouds adrift in a sky of gray
Two rosebuds,

For decades they ran each time the gaping maw of the creature approached. But they had grown smarter. Stronger. Less #harried by such threats. Now, when the creature and his massive teeth rounded the corner, they recognized it for what it was--a bully. They were no longer afraid. #vss365

My refuge found in shadows
My body surrendering to lethargy
