you’ve been kidnapped. the characters from the last tv show you watched are trying to rescue you. who’s coming to save you?

I guess I'm screwed, but at least it will be funny.

Oh, I have a somewhat similar one. Several "Amsterdam" scenes in Oceans 12 were actually filmed in Haarlem because of the logistical issues of filming in Amsterdam. Most notably, the train station scenes. My PE teacher was late that day because she got held up, but she did get to see Julia Roberts.

When I was
A young boy
My father
Took me into the city
To see a passion play

He said,
Son, when you grow up
Would you be the saviour of the broken
The beaten and the damned?

He said,
Will you defeat them?
Your demons,
and all the non-believers
The plans that they have made

> bans fundamentally harmless charities
> gives the police wide and undefined powers to arrest protesters
> forces citizens to provide passports or driving licenses in order to use the internet

"Why are people afraid to say what they think???"

It's great that they absolutely couldn't work out an actually helpful way to describe Mounk

Inside of you are two wolves etc. (Both of them have probably been banned from a local coffee shop)

Spent £300 on a chair because of my bad back.

Anyway, here I am working on a plastic garden chair, but at least the cat has a new bed.

I read philosophy for the deep insights into human nature, the appreciation of the knowledge of the ancients, and also for tips on getting over hiccups resulting from eating your dinner a little too quickly.

Perfect timing as I just finished my classic guitar marine the other day. Had the model for ages, only just decided what to do with the base. Just in time for the army box release!

Sending this picture to the Journal of Applied Philosophy @the-joap.bsky.social as an explanation for why my review is late (circumstances beyond my control)

At least *someone* is getting to have a nap after a very successful (if I may say so myself!) BIAPT 2025 annual conference @biapt.bsky.social

Yesterday, we had a great dinner (if I may say so myself) in the historic York Guildhall, with a fascinating after-dinner speech by @jacobtlevy.bsky.social

And tonight a drinks reception!

Happy holidays everyone - this is a picture of my parents' dog, who loves my partner, and my partner's foot. I hope your vibe is similar, however you spend the day.
