Great thread on Finlandisation, so relevant to Ukraine, US and much else
BTW those protests were deliberately stoked by the publisher.

BUT the game also caused a very real diplomatic crisis in #Finland.

THAT is what #finlandization was in practice.

A thread, to help understand why most Finns are critical of oblivious foreigners pushing the same for, say, #Ukraine.

Fascinating! AI might hurt productivity as LLM-tailored job applications destroy the value of the cover letter as a signal, leading to worse job-employee matches.
Is AI making job recruitment less meritocratic? We're getting some v interesting research studies on this question now, and the news is... not good. @jburnmurdoch.ft.com & I dive in, in the latest edition of our newsletter The AI Shift www.ft.com/content/e5b7...

NEW: I wrote about British churches installing heat pumps, in some cases in 1,000-year-old buildings! Decarbonisation may not be easy, but many view it as an act of faith.

This is a special feature to mark The Reengineer’s first anniversary! Spread the word! 🥳

Great thread on why IEA assumptions in Current Policies Scenario are so improbable- to believe in this scenario is like the White Queen in Alice in Wonderland believing six impossible things before breakfast.
🤡OIL DEMAND WILL KEEP RISING🤡

What are the IEA assumptions that make rising oil demand so improbable?

This is what @jigarshahdc.bsky.social and I have been talking about the past years. As capacity costs rise while battery costs plummet, we will see more of this.
