There’s no reason Red 3 should be allowed in our food when it’s banned from being used on our skin.

That is why I am calling on the Biden Administration to act now and use its regulatory authority to ban the use of Red 3 in our food.

FDA banned its use in cosmetics over 30 years ago, it's long past time to remove it from our food.

Did you know that synthetic dyes must be batch tested before they are allowed to be used? Batch testing only applies to synthetic dyes (numbered dyes like Red 40 and Yellow 5.) Artificial colors like titanium dioxide and caramel color are not batch tested. Know you know. 😉

A huge “thank you” to @gavinnewsom.bsky.social for signing AB 2316, eliminating synthetic food dyes from school foods. It’s a big step in the right direction. Protect the kids, remove the dyes that have been shown to cause behavioral issues in children. Thank you, Governor Newsom!
