did you skip the Qing? what is happening. what is going on? Mike, every time you come into my mentions it's always trying to obfuscate the current situation with a very self-serving Euro-centric panoply of irrelevant topics. Are we going to relitigate the Yuan dynasty and Tibet next?

This is not consistent with Chinese history, and imperialism. Norr is is it consistent with China's current trajectory, which is almost non-interventionist to a fault. China is explicitly focused on internal development, and would love for the US to stop destabilizing the global order.

The threat is coming from inside the house. It is the US and its proxies that have sowed destruction and instability, including around Taiwan, including Takaichi's assertions here. Those are real provocations. You cannot point at China for responding to aggression, by accusing them of aggression.

for the 19th and half of the 20th c, China faced endless crisis, picked apart by Anglo-Europeans and a Japan empire that adopted their notions of racial and cultural supremacy to justify brutal exploitation. And then you turn around and cry they're the aggressor for demanding back what was stolen.

Mike, I think this is delusional. You come from a part of global society that has spent the past 400 years raping and pillaging their way around the world to give you the way of life you now enjoy. So it's twisted, that you think the moment the victims recovers, they'll do what your ancestors did.

as for the Daioyu islands, that is a matter for China and Japan to settle. These are uninhabited islands that Japan uses for economic exploitation (EEZ) as well as a political tool given by America to threaten Taiwan. Japan will do whatever the US tells them in that regard: they're just barking.
November 13, 2025 at 4:59 AM
Well, lucky for us, China is a Status Quo power, and not an expansionist one. It's views are purely turned to what it sees as its internal matters: Taiwan, is an internal matter. You cannot pretend that the Republic of China remnant that rules Taiwan is not China. Taiwan is not a Japanese colony.
November 13, 2025 at 4:58 AM
Michael, the entire Taiwan nationalist project you are making yourself the mouthpiece for, is rooted entirely in the unjust fascist-imperialism of the previous century. You can't obfuscate the fact that your arguments are rooted in the injustices of 19th century colonialism, and global fascism.
November 13, 2025 at 4:56 AM
Japan's tenuous relationship to these uninhabited islands is specifically to use as a pretext for this nonsense, and the assumption that China would violate Japanese airspace is an outrageous fiction, pushed only by the most far right Japan leaders: Abe Shinzo, and his protégé Takaichi Sanae.
November 13, 2025 at 4:52 AM
You are trying to talk around the main issue: which is the US does not want to go to war around Taiwan, and needs to cook up scenarios where China stupidly attacks the US like it's 1941. Because the US fantasy here revolves around spent WW2 glory, and being the wronged righteous defender.
November 13, 2025 at 4:46 AM
again, Michael, the entire premise of your argument rests on Japanese colonial imperialism. To use them as a justification for Japan to drag the US into any hypothetical invasion is what i mean by desperate cope, and myth making. There is no path for Taiwan independence.

literally nobody is talking about Okinawa.
