Toward a June record for iso 0°C this week end in the Alps! 🥵📈

Current record is 4912 m (18 juin 2017) and modeling show it could reach 5200 m on Sat. 28th at 5:00 am! 😱

Speechless...

These values will put the whole of the Alps in ice abalation zone! 🔥

It’s all happening in Dushanbe at #Glaciers2025.
Excellent quote in the plenary this morning:
“"Glaciers preservation is not just the problem of countries with glaciers, it is a global crisis and requires a global response".
Glacier festival last night was amazing, too.

The importance of just one degree on glacier preservation - by holding temperature increase to +1.5°C, more than twice as much glacier mass remains compared with an increase of 2.7°C. “Our findings stress the need for stringent mitigation policies to ensure the long-term preservation of glaciers”.
