I don't fit neatly in holes people make, especially politically. Confessional Lutheran Christian. Imperfect lover & server of neighbor. Geography and public health nerd. Always a learner, sometimes a student.
If Castro were still here, he could organize Canadians to clean up the pig sty created by the clown people claim is his "son."

The idea of “social murder” is super useful, and we need to get comfortable using it. Engels is the best, man - reading him feels like finally acknowledging the obvious reality everyone wants you to ignore

Excellent essay I read a few years ago. Those punisher skulls and ar-15 silhouettes have a political purpose, and there's a reason why there's no equivalent on the left.
the US's long slide into modern US men's clothing/trucks/etc is part-and-parcel with idealizing a police force that is distant from the populace, that loves faceless guns and blacked-out cars. No more Andys Griffith or Carls Winslow. Shout out to Nate Powell's essential essay.

Are you being instructed predominantly by and in the Word? Or do you spend more time with Fox News, CNN, or MSNBC? Again, this is not a legalistic rule, but I think the consumption habits of the Christian (myself included) should be largely Christian, for wisdom's sake. 2/2

Reminder: You are unelected individuals pushing an agenda through a “department” not created by Congress or accountable to the American people. Your proposed budget cuts and rollbacks could devastate the systems that keep our air, water, and land safe. 5/6

"Contemporary worship" is the strange idea that we can improve church service music by removing all music from the first nineteen centuries of the apostolic church.
