I'll be passing this along. Don't know if it will help but it will be seen.

That Stardew Valley concert was with the wait. I didn't realize how ingrained the songs were in my head. So many happy memories.

Omw to the Stardew Valley concert.

I live in the chi town suburb you keep seeing these days. Luckily I'm not close to where things are going down, but I hear the helicopters every night. Scariest night was when the tornado sirens went off in the middle of the night with no storms in sight. No explanations. Hate it.

I get that people generally don't know about long covid. It truly worries me that health care professionals don't. How are we supposed to get help when medical people still think it doesn't exist?

Quick life update. Condo almost sold and living with family. Operation buy a family house to occur in Q3 2025. Still dealing with long covid. I'm getting obsessed with Kpop Demon Hunters. And I need Wednesday season 2 like now. That is all.

I'm definitely rewatching. I missed the story.

I got Coffee Talk 1 and 2 100% on ps5 now. Back to getting Vampire Survivors 100% on here. Haven't really played on steam for a while. In between, it's been me playing Monster Hunter World and Wilds.

I finally got my first decent set of the total solar eclipse in 2024 and the total lunar eclipse in 2025. I'll have more chances for the moon but this might be it for the sun. #eclipse #lunar #solar

Now I wait. Thin clouds just like my solar eclipse last year lol. Let's go blood worm moon.

I'm glad that medical technology can see within 2 hours that I didn't have breast cancer. I don't like the fact that I had to wait from the end of December to today to get the second test to check. Making the appointment was a hassle too. One less stressor in my life. I hope the bill won't suck.

I saw about 7 to 10 white doves on a wire while getting my meds this morning. It was so random cause we don't see birds like that here. They looked like pigeons but smaller. One did have some grey in the front. Right by a bunch of trees. I'm shocked they didn't get eaten. Should have taken a pic.

It's weird living back home with the family. Still in the process of moving but at least I'm eating for again. My body is getting used to using the stairs up and down again though. My body is protesting.

This is the first time I've seen Orion upside down. I really need to visit the Southern hemisphere one day.

I was waiting for this last piece of hatred in this country. Now I will get hate for being Black, a woman, bisexual, and a scientist. Should I tell them I'm agnostic too? Oh what about my battle with chronic depression and long covid invisible disabilities? What a great time to be alive. 🙄

I got to speak to students about my experiences in STEM. As much as it sucks now, I have and hope in the future. They are going to face these hard times and didn't for their careers. I have to continue to do these events to let the students know people like me exist. Y'all aren't alone.
February 9, 2025 at 3:14 AM
But for now I need to pack to talk to students this weekend about science communication careers and play as much of this Monster Hunter Wilds beta as I can.

I got to do the first long covid research participant group. It will help shape how future studies will go. My goal is to help on the writing side since I'm in medical writing. Having my neurobiology background will hopefully help them with potential study ideas. Us with long covid will have a voice

I'll try this now
Folks in the US (or anywhere) … if you are being asked to scrub your pronouns from socials, you can remove them from your bio and subscribe to this list. That way, it just puts them on your bio when others look at your profile and you don’t need to type them in.

bsky.app/profile/cosm...
BlueSky has some neat tools.

I really like this one - it labels your pronouns at the post level, so it saves folks having to click through to people's profiles to see what pronouns they prefer.

To see/use it:

1. subscribe to: bsky.app/profile/pron...

2. Go to 'Posts' tab and 'like' your pronoun

Seeing what's going down already, the good thing about selling my condo is that I'll be with family and not alone. I'm going to need places to cocoon. My mental health has taken a turn. This will stop me from becoming a hermit.
