Well this fun! 👀Make your own action figure with ChatGpt using this prompt: Draw a picture of me as a real-life action figure. Be specific as possible based on what you know about me. And put multiple interesting things that represent who I am inside the packaging.

🚨 Important new paper from the Ed Psych Review special issue on belonging. This paper considers how racial/ethnic identity relates to school belonging and how that might depend on whether asset-based pedagogy is being used in classrooms

Beyond publication-based metrics for evaluating and valuing scientists and their contributions @naturenews.bsky.social @drkellyallen.bsky.social www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Move beyond ‘publish or perish’ by measuring behaviours that benefit academia
A standardized system to measure contributions in mentorship, collaboration and more could bring about systemic change in science.

LOVE the idea of a "good stuff" index! 👏👏
If people & academic institutions are going to continue tracking things, index, & compete, we might as well measure what matters! What about a "good stuff" index that measures what we value & contributes to the types of workplaces we want to work in. Here's my pitch: tinyurl.com/3ahn4nmc @nature.com

If you're collecting "evidence" as to why belonging matters, here’s some fresh research to add to your collection:

What belongs in a “good stuff” index? My thought piece in @nature.com is now #freetoread. It reimagines academic metrics to better reflect what academics value & the systems we want to work in. What would you add? rdcu.be/ec5uN @timeshighered.bsky.social @chronicle.com @insidehighered.com

Sometimes building a sense of belonging means literally cutting through barriers. We sawed a gap in the fence so these two tiny neighbours could chat. Now, there's more connecting and less shouting over the fence!
