Just another refugee from that cesspool formerly known as Twitter.

Science nerd by training & vocation. Avid Chicago Cubs fan since at least 1974. Political Liberal who, at one point in time years ago, occasionally voted for Republicans. Howdy!
I read he renamed The Institute of Peace building this week to The Trump Institute of Peace,...

You know,... a semi-independent agency he gutted & tried to close this spring,...
Trump divided the country, extorted Zelenskyy, tried to steal an election, incited an insurrection, stole confidential documents and banged a porn star. That’s his legacy. He knows he’s incapable of achieving anything good. He’s hoping his ballroom will remind people of him.

Three words:

Wag

The

Dog.
Creating a military conflict with Venezuela gives this administration a legal "hook" to invoke the Alien Enemies Act. In other words, the foreign war is being manufactured in order to facilitate court deference for its domestic mass deportation policy. It's a Stephen Miller Special.

Why would I replace a completely functional smartphone or laptop just because a 'fancier' one comes out?
If a phone still works fine, it’s not “device hoarding” to keep using it. It’s common sense.

I don't know about FB,... But I'm generally in a better mood largely ignoring the former Twitter.
Meta halted internal research that purportedly showed (young) people who stopped using Facebook became less depressed and anxious, according to an unredacted legal filing released on Friday. www.cnbc.com/2025/11/23/m...

This is my kind of good trouble.
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

So,... who doesn't learn Arabic numerals in the US?
BREAKING: @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social is expected to require ALL New York Elementary school students to learn Arabic numerals.

We still support this 100%

The Senators are long-thinking enough (generally) to understand that this is a sh-t-storm they are going to need to try to weather.
WATCH: Speaker Johnson says he’s “deeply disappointed” the senate passed a bill he voted for 🤔

@rokhanna.bsky.social : “Johnson looks frazzled. He’s lost it, attacking a bill the survivors wanted without talking to them… that he voted for. He has lost the confidence of half his caucus.”

Well put,... Didn't John Oliver popularize the term "Stupid Watergate" during Trump's last term?

This mess is easily much stupider.

Claiming credit for fixing a problem that you actually caused is often referred to as gaslighting.
MAGA influencers hailing Trump the nation savior for lifting tariffs is a sight to behold.

I honestly hope these assholes end up with significant jail time.

Sometimes,... The stupid is physically painful.
This entire article points out that there is no plan. His own Treasury Secretary says he doesn’t know anything about it. So why does media keep running these kind of headlines? He keeps making these Truth Social posts and media keeps running stories as if it is something real.

Wasn't Trump going to reveal his alternative healthcare plan in 'two weeks' for like three years last term?
There are reasons republicans are talking about their fantastic health care plans without showing them to anyone. They are like a shiny highway in winter: very pretty, so long as you don’t try to use them.

Remind me again - you overly bronzed, elitist, sexist, racist, narcissistic, child of privilege - how do you have any understanding of what 'being poor' is even remotely like?
It is incredible — the blind spots you develop when you’ve never, ever been poor.
Trump claims that food stamps "puts the country in jeopardy. People that are able-bodied can do a job, they leave their job because they figure they can pick this up, it's easier."
