We found that the carnivorous Sundews were more or less carnivorous depending on microhabitat conditions.

Spot the incorrect AI 'fact':

Bladderworts: turning to algae and pollen as a food source.

Round-leaved Sundews: refusing to eat insects and instead suggesting vegetables like Brussels sprouts and kale.

Sundews: becoming less interested in eating insects due to increased soil nitrogen levels.

Have you ever followed the lifespans of a perennial plant? @cmhmaliani.bsky.social followed 128 plants over 38 yrs & showed that certain lifetime trajectories had fitness advantages!

The Labour government have failed us on the Environment.
1. The one benefit of Brexit was a new farm subsidy system, that would pay for public goods such as ecological restoration. But now the government has frozen the new grants, while swiftly cutting off the old ones, leaving farmers high and dry. It's deeply unfair and highly destructive. 🧵
