I wish environmental science conferences were more sustainable ! If the brightest minds in the world continue to carelessly use single-use plastic, why would we expect the rest of the world to change ? Even at a conference with sessions about the harms of plastic to human health!

I really hope this passes and is put into law ASAP.

What’s the point of an MPA if you can repeatedly destroy the seabed with trawling?

It’s like ploughing a field 6 times a year and then wondering why nothing grows.
