Normally, an enemy that falls in a pit in Super Mario World will not respawn unless Mario leaves and returns. However, by positioning the camera a specific distance away from its spawn point, Mario can trap the enemy in an eternal cycle of death and rebirth.

Mario Sunshine is mechanically inventive, has a world that feels like a cohesive space rather than a collection of themed levels with bespoke platforming gimmicks, and has more narrative chops than any mainline Mario game. Mario gets fucking arrested in it and goes to jail. It fuckin rules! Come ON!
