I make videos sometimes, posts other times, and software yet other times. Supports BIPOC rights (& Black Lives Matter), LGBT+ (include the T) rights, disability rights, etc. Mainly here to read stuff not available on ActivityPub services.
I now eat at Burger King sometimes thanks to their Impossible Burger that I learned about from memes.

Getting too out into the weeds too fast can be a problem.

One must initially present a few choices with their strengths and weaknesses and ask questions to see if other stuff should be considered instead. If the needs are not met by those few choices, then other things can be introduced.

Bazzite may be gamer-oriented, but that doesn't mean you have to be a gamer to use it. It just has a lot of gaming-related software preinstalled and stuff since the main userbase is gamers.

and having it extract the files to a specific folder to not mess with any folders I don't expect and moving certain libraries to a subfolder to make it use the system ones like I did when I ran it in a Fedora Distrobox.

Personally though, Resolve Studio on Linux in Distrobox with a dongle seems to need a rootful distrobox install, so I don't know how that would interact with Bazzite. Anymore I just run Resolve directly on EndeavourOS after running the installer...

There's a thing called Distrobox if you want to install stuff from one Linux OS while running a different one, so you don't have to run that other one. This is particularly useful for OS's like Bazzite, where things are more locked down.

EndeavourOS is good if you want to tinker with stuff more and Arch is appealing and you aren't afraid of the terminal but you want something that pretty much just works out of the box mostly.

PopOS I hear can be good for up to date drivers but slower other updates.

If you want some distro (operating system) recommendations as a starting point for looking at stuff:

I hear Bazzite is good for a SteamOS-like experience and people who don't want to accidentally mess things up.

changing that wouldn't be too disruptive to one's workflow, I think that should be considered, like switching from Premiere to Resolve.
