In 1991, Shigeru Miyamoto claimed that the reason Yoshi did not appear on the NES was that it was not technically possible. A 1995 unauthorized port of Super Mario World to the NES shows it is very much possible, suggesting the real reason could have been more complex.

It's simply "reach 11 of a combined total of both", so there are no restrictions. It could be 11 of one, or 11 of the other, or 5 of one and 6 of the other, etc. The only caveat is that if you do both on the same frame, it still only counts as 1. Thank you very much for your inquiry!

In Super Mario 64, it is actually possible to escape from the grasp of King Bob-omb or a Chuckya after they grab Mario, by whipping the Control Stick back and forth and mashing the A button a combined total of 11 times before they throw him.

If you think about it, Yoshi is the Avatar in Mario 64 DS, for he is able to embody all forms: Metal, Air, Elementary particles, Fire.

I think Faire Square would be better if either the Whomp path didn't exist or if it required you to pay at least one more coin than the last player like in Pirate Land and Yoshi's Tropical Island. Either way, players would be required or incentivized, respectively, to explore the rest of the board.

Super Mario World was shown in early screenshots to have a mushroom-shaped overworld. However, development files show that this concept went much further. The mushroom island eventually connected to a large mainland. It is unknown why such an elaborate overworld was completely scrapped.

In Super Paper Mario, entering 3D mode during the Brobot battle reveals a synthwave-style vector background. Since it can only be seen during the battle, it is impossible to enjoy it by itself, undisturbed by enemy attacks, without external tools.

Pro tip: KDE has a program called "Accessibility Inspector" which allows inspecting accessibility properties of applications as the name implies. This can show you if something is missing accessibility text and displays where that particular item is in the window.

Super Mario 64 DS contains a "Surf or Die" glitch. If Yoshi lands on a Koopa shell in a specific way, he will be fine for as long as he keeps surfing. However, the moment he stops surfing, the game will freeze.

"Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing" is a meme started with a fan video in 2009, which got so popular Nintendo themselves referenced it repeatedly. However, the earliest instance of Luigi winning by doing nothing actually comes from a game and predates the meme by 5 years.

In Luigi's Mansion, revisiting the Bottom of the Well after watching the cutscene with King Boo causes Mario to be very faintly heard yelling "Eh Luigi! What's the hold-up-a?!" in the background, which is easy to miss unless playing the game on maximum volume.

Today I learned you can pass a property list to the QtQuick Component "createObject" thing and it's more efficient than setting them later as I have been doing because I didn't know and I'm used to VB.

See:
doc.qt.io/qt-6//qml-qt...
Component QML Type | Qt Qml | Qt 6.10.2
Encapsulates a QML component definition.
