Jfc. I like Venmo, really. It makes it so easy to transfer money from person to person. But I submitted a large-ish ($1000+) payment & it took *TWO FUCKING WEEKS* before it tried to pull from my bank account. By then I thought it had already been pulled (b/c it’s usually same or next day) &

Cosmic/eldritch horror only instead of the Them hating or being indifferent to humanity, they *love* us. & not in the obsessive stalker way, but more like beloved pets. An ant farm or bowl of sea monkeys. It *loves* us in unknowable & madness-inducing ways.

I had felt ambivalent abt legally marrying 1 of my hubbies b/c didn’t want to prioritize 1 over the other. But recent SCOTUS rulings & fed gov’t actions are leading us to marriage to protect ourselves. Already applied for a license for me & the younger hubby. I hate that this feels necessary.

I’m starting up a new campaign soon using 5e 2024, set in the modern world except magic appeared suddenly about a year ago & things have been acclimating since (ppl slowly turning to other races, classes developing, etc.). Trying to decide if Trump turns into a goblin or not.

I’m a state employee fully funded by feds. B/c of HOW we’re funded, we *shouldn’t* need to worry abt furloughs. 2 probs:
1) the STATE hasn’t passed budget either, so furloughs b/c of that are still poss
&
2) feds said we can’t do stuff that’s abt 1/3 of job duties. And other 2/3s needs 1st 1/3.

I work for a state agency that’s fully funded by feds. How it goes is we’re granted a lump sum at start of fiscal year to cover existing costs & get authorized for additional/new ones like hiring people. New fiscal year starts tomorrow. If they follow through w/ shutdown, idk if I get paid or not.

Due to a combination of good genetics and good dental hygiene learned from my dentist dad, I’ve had perfectly healthy teeth my entire life. Today I learned that I need a root canal. Hell of a way to break the streak.
