Cosmic/eldritch horror only instead of the Them hating or being indifferent to humanity, they *love* us. & not in the obsessive stalker way, but more like beloved pets. An ant farm or bowl of sea monkeys. It *loves* us in unknowable & madness-inducing ways.

Our dear assistant helped playtest Curse of the Dead Man’s Hand, by Stardust Publications (early version on DTRPG). It was quite fun, though definitely a 3-6 person game.

Sometimes best sidequests are completely unintentional. I used heavy thunderstorm to keep the PCs in place for a bit & when they tried to leave anyway, turned it into a flood. They still went out, went thru town looking for ppl to help, & found an NPC that they’re going to adopt.

Your dear correspondent, Dapper Bear, just finished a session of The Zone by Laughing Kaiju Games. It was delightfully surreal, deeply symbolic, and satisfyingly thematic for each character. He greatly looks forward to playing it again!
