Alki’s best in the winter. Shame the view is so polluted.

Opposite corners of the same crossing. One is clearly way better and safer. Cmon @seattledot.bsky.social be bold. Someone’s going to get hurt here on this “healthy” street.

Check your ballot. It’s possible that it’s been challenged due to leaving the ballot envelope unsigned or a signature mismatch. You can cure that with King County Elections so your ballot is counted! kingcounty.gov/en/dept/elec...

The Seattle transit experience
November 5, 2025 at 11:20 PM
I hate that my options to get home, 8 miles, from the airport at 5pm on a Saturday are a $50 uber or 90 minutes of transit with either a 30 minute wait for a bus, or an hour wait for a bus. Also that our transit stations are barren of any amenities.

Paging Tree Action Seattle to the red phone
Next week in Clyde Hill: a hearing on whether a group of property owners can force the removal of multiple trees on 2 other properties because they're "blocking their view of the downtown Seattle skyline and lake views."

They're trying to remove all trees planted before 1953 on 1 of the properties.

Visiting my hometown of Milwaukee and good lawd they make their bike lanes wide these days. Still a lot of road but this is nice to see.

Another fatal hit n run, pedestrian v car, I can’t tell the the exact location but wouldn’t this not be far off from the sodo busway / light rail?

@typewriteralley.bsky.social did this one fly under your radar since there was no add response?

How many bikes could fit in a corral in the space of a single car? This is the only bike rack in front of ampersand and future primitive on Alki. I count 6 bikes here at ampersand, locked and leaned up inside the fence or tables. There’s a clear demand. FP isn’t even open yet.

Real talk: if I park my car on beach drive every day and blast music all the time do you think we can expedite a bike lane being installed? Maybe bring a couple RVs to help?

The Alaska junction is 3 miles from my home. I hate driving there because it feels like a waste to drive that distance. It would be a nice bike ride is there was any protected infrastructure to get there from Delridge. The bus takes 35 minutes. I would go more if I could.

Where’s the bike lane? I thought solid green meant bike lane.

Yesterday while on a group ride in West Seattle with 9 riders we had a car honk at us in the constellation healthy street (closed and cars are to yield to ped and bikes) and another car honk at us and pass dangerously on beach drive for riding 2x2 on the right half of the lane. I hate it here.

While the Spokane street bridge was closed this weekend my options to get out of west Seattle by bike were to pay for a barely running water taxi or navigate this mess.

Not seen is all the glass I had to dodge on the ramp here. Thankful for tubeless tires. This is unacceptable.

It took me 1.5 hours to get home from the airport via transit here in Seattle. After my bus arrived 20 minutes late, was packed, and I had to fight for space with luggage. A 20 minute drive from SEA to white center. Our transit needs to do we better. I already miss the Netherlands.
