So rather than the West fighting to the last Ukrainian, as Russian propagandists regularly claim, it turns out that what we have is China fighting to the last Russian, to keep America distracted.

They confirmed that Wang told her China has no interest in Russia losing the war because the US would turn its full attention to Asia, as I reported on Thursday.

A long way (in the wrong direction) from the US's 1940 Welles Declaration, refusing to recognise Soviet annexation of the Baltic states. Welles was right: predatory activity by a strong state against a weak one undermines civilisation. It was 51 years till the Baltic states regained independence.
