I wasn't sure of the pluralisation of scrotum so I looked it up. Apparently it should be scrota or scrotums, so the title is singular. I can't think of any way a single item can be both normal and abnormal at the same time, unless it's some sort of Schrödinger's scrotum. Maybe it's worth reading...

I thought the lack of waning against severe disease was because the initial vaccines cause your body to make memory T and B cells that last for decades. If you get infected they can quickly ramp up T cell and antibody production, so you don't get severely ill.

I think it's 30-50% protection against symptomatic infection for about 3 to 6 months. But since covid is present all year round (unlike flu), the very small protection after 6 months means you are quite likely to get infected before they offer it again next year.

Even though it's only a little bit of protection each year, someone who gets vaccinated every year will, in expectation, have fewer infections in their lifetime, right?

Until 2022, all central government civil servants (rijksambtenaren) were offered it for free. Then in 2023 we could ask our family doctor and declare the costs. Then we went full anti-vax... 😀
Someone like Arbounie will come and vaccinate people at any employer:

Chicken pox (varicella) for kids too. I seem to remember it's about €180 for two shots. Also, if you're not sure you had measles or the measles vaccine as a kid, your family doctor can prescribe you MMR and you pay for it.

Yeah, I love mine too. I originally got one for hay-fever but they're so much more than that. In the Hague we've got some of the most polluted air in Western Europe and HEPA filters can lower your blood pressure by removing that pollution.

Most of the people I know in NL genuinely think getting flu, covid etc is good for you, otherwise your immune system will get weak. I've often recommended people with hay-fever get a HEPA filter only to be told "they're dangerous because they also filter viruses out of the air, which you need..."

In the Netherlands, anyone who wants a flu vaccine can get one. Just ask their family doctor for a prescription and pay €25 (or go somewhere like KLM travel vaccines). Many employers offer them to their employees.

So Denmark have said "Our healthcare system can cope with the illnesses these vaccines prevent, so we don't recommend them." The US has said "Better to not get ill in the first place, so use the vaccines." Is that really it?
