Lincoln was the real prize of that crazy day, although Minden and Elkhorn were close. I was on the slightly later batch of supercells that went S. of Des Moines, but jumped the gun getting close to the base SW of Bedford and found myself playing catch-up the whole time, missing all the tornadoes.

The locomotives and diesel-hydraulic railcars on the Pikes Peak Cog Railway in Colorado, USA are Swiss-built. Third photo resembles them a bit.

Occasionally saw the CP units that were used for filming after they'd been painted back, but left with the "tiger stripe" plows. Of course I blew my only good opportunity to get one leading.
