Writing ArcPy and realizing that having \n in a filepath creates a new line during parsing, which means you have to rename all files to not start with "n" because who decided filenames contained within quotes should be parsed that way???

From the data we've collected from fired State employees, here's what was lost on 7/11:

—20 Chinese speakers
—17 Russian/Ukrainian speakers
—14 Arabic speakers
—4 Farsi speakers
—4 Korean speakers
And that’s only a partial list.
At a time of shifting alliances, we've traded expertise for chaos.

For the first time in 24 years I am "migraine free" (average <1/month).

I used to average 3-4 per week.

The worst part? What works is a medication I tried as a teenager that I know works, but was too expensive to continue at the time.

At least I'm migraine free now.

Wow
A Quebec fisherman who was fishing 15 kilometers north of the US border was essentially kidnapped by US Border Patrol, who capsized his boat and dragged him to an American prison cell.

In any normal time this'd be quite the international incident, y'know?

How uninformed does someone have to be to assume everyone with the same last name is a direct relative of the other?

Last names, especially post immigration from non-English speaking countries, are complicated and people are apparently very very very ignorant.

Here's a belated #EarthDay2025 puzzle. I had trouble posting it on Tuesday for some reason. Can you find what the two symbol sets have in common? What do the symbols mean?

Due to the nature of the puzzle, I'll need to design accessible accommodations on a case by case basis based on needs

I'm salty about anything and everything that threatens our oceans.

We as an entire planet cannot afford, economically, to engage in deep sea mining. The repercussions are too costly for all nations to allow any one nation or entity to engage in deep sea mining again.
