Submitted my first rank order list to the #NRMP #match as PD. That is so not fun, we interviewed 65 people. At least 40 of them would be great, picking is hard.

Good luck to all the med students and recent grads put there entering the match.

Taking my ABFM longitudinal certification. They seem to like testing for things which have only level D recommendations. Why would you ever test on that? By definition there is no good data and expert recommendations only why test on that garbage? #medsky

I can't say with any certainty that this will hold up over time, but it sure does reinforce my biases. So of course I should re-post it.

The Red Cross seriously needs to get out of the ACLS game or we need a competing organization. Some of these questions are embarrassingly bad. They said someone was complaining of shortness of breath and they immediately want me to slap a BVM on them?

The Monster at the End of this Explanation of Benefits
December 12, 2024 at 1:48 AM
Another mon-health policy expert here. Can anyone make a reasonable argument about why denying benefits wouldn't improve their profits? It seems fairly self-evident that spending less = more profit.... but I imagine the topic is complicated

Telehealth was something disabled people had spent years begging for. It’s a game changer when you have an energy limiting chronic illness.

It’s hard to imagine any legitimate reason to remove it - it will cause harm.

Let patients access care in the way that is safest for them.
Most Medicare coverage for telehealth is set to end soon unless Congress acts. I reported on how this is a bad situation for the millions of people who rely on telehealth to more easily get medical care for @motherjones.com. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
