This! I'm saddened about the loss of life from the flood in Texas and angry at the politicians and Trump voters who have allowed this to happen. We're reaching the FO part of FAFO, and I'm anticipating saying a lot of "we told you so"s.
It's possible to feel two things simultaneously-- compassion on a human level, but also contempt for the Trump voters who are about to reap what they have sown.

You know what's ironic? The right is about to get absolutely mad that we don't use the 'preferred names' of Mount Denali and the Gulf of Mexico like they haven't been doing the same to trans people. Y'all don't get a pass to be mad about it!
