I’ve literally been painting and sculpting with clay and forgot how much I missed it!
In 2026 we all gotta craft more!! Make things with our hands! Beading, Paperworks, Pottery, soldering, anything goes! Challenge those fine motor skills!!

When my grandmother was 9 years old, she and her family lived in Texas and they were extremely poor. She lived with her mother and stepfather and three sisters. My great-grandmother made all their clothes, and they scrimped on everything so that they had enough to eat.

This is a sweet story in many ways, of course, but it's also tragic. Poverty is systemic cruelty. It is a wonderful thing though to be reminded of the generous spirits that exist in spite of everything that is thrown at people.

My grandmother was one of the most generous and kind people I've ever known. She grew up extremely poor, and she never forgot what that was like. She became a teacher, and she was never rich, but she gave everything she could to everyone around her who needed help.
