I think this clip kinda proves my point cuz you're having to deliberately stop yourself from flowing through the level until you find a good spot so that you don't waste your time travel
I disagree. I think the level design encourages so much player expression that lots of Sonic games lack and the time travel encourages you to take advantage of that freedom. A little part of me dies inside when people say CD is the "exploration game" cuz there's so much more to it than that (1/?)
