the actual Republican parents who support the politicians pushing for this think the effort and money they spent parenting are wasted if their kids turn out different from them.

This might be a hot take, but if parents are so concerned about what their kids see online, then they should actually do some damn parenting themselves instead of campaigning for governments to make things worse for everyone.

Watching everyone get angry at the Olympian who performed with a torn ACL makes sense, objectively. But I feel like I grew up and still constantly do hear stories of pro athletes being praised after performing while horribly injured. I'm not sure why anyone is surprised she'd try.

Like I truly don't know if any of my work would exist in anything like it's present form of I hadn't been a WoW addict for like three years. It taught me how to manage and organize people via the Internet.

I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.
