I tell ya it’s tough out there… I went to get my passport renewed, they tried tellin me sex is the same thing as gender. I said like hell it is! For one thing, my wife’s not having gender with the mailman.

I recently saw a verified resident on r/psychiatry post about how molecularly similar DXM is to ketamine. I popped off about morphinans, arylcyclohexylamines, NMDA activity, and stereoisomers so fast.. even the MD grads are clueless.

In an alternate reality this left me so traumatized that I made it my mission to re-blob and nonfree-ify every corebooted foss thinkpad in the continental US.

Lately I've been yearning for lisp-flavored erlang. It looks like the tooling is going somewhere and I wish I had the time and energy to contribute.

Weirdness abounds, alien technology.

I use ELisp in large quantities and on a regular basis. Richard Stallman told me to learn Emacs in an email, and that turned into me writing all the other lisps. I settled on Clojure for the elegance, and didn't worry about the speed. I also already knew the jvm intimately. It was a fun journey.

I have used common lisp (sbcl), and feel very good about slime, the repl (+ it being serializable), and etc.

I find it less elegant and more opaque than Clojure by far. It's not a functional-first language, which is fine but not what I want. It has ancient cruft. I still love it. Mcclim is weird.

I deal with reynauds (scleroderma) and take stimulants which exacerbate it - Cialis was massively helpful.
