Been busy working towards standing on the local parish douzaine. Like a UK council, but quite quaint and not really with any power. It's a chance to help and speak with people from my area, whilst also telling them to cut their hedges 🙂

We have the most wonderful news! This is the news we've been hoping desperately for since March: OLIVIA AND GLADYS ARE SAFE! The judge ruled against their former owner in the forfeiture case, so Olivia and Gladys will be safe and fed and warm and loved here at Merrymac for the rest of their lives. ❤️

Watched 28 Years Later, having rewatched the first two recently. Some great scenes and creepy visuals, generally good performances, but it felt a bit disjointed even at 2 hours long. Won't rush back, but glad to have seen it.

Had a rewatch of 28 Days Later, first time in well over 10 years. More brutal than I recalled, and still excellent.

Just watched the new Superman film, loved it. A favourite of the year so far for me, funny, thrilling, great cast.

While I was out back earlier, out of seemingly nowhere a glorious buzzard swooped in and grabbed a smaller bird in its talons. Never seen one here before, the beauty and violence of nature in a brief scene.

Microsoft's Clippy didn't deserve all the abuse he got. He was only trying to help. You could even disable him at any time if he got too irritating, which is more than you can say about a lot of modern software features.
