Went to buy the new Margaret Atwood memoir today from one of one my favourite local indy book shops, only to find the store inexplicably closed for the day.
But there she was, taunting me through the window.

I ordered my copy from an independent bookstore. The price, and the time to get it were equal to ordering online. Whenever possible, shop local. It really does matter.

I'm deeply grateful to those who foster dogs. What you do is critically important, and not something I could do, as I just get too attached. But as someone with a "rescue" dog (Frida), I've certainly benefited from those like yourself.
