We’ve been blown away by the response to the Weekend of HOPE 💛

Almost 1 million leaflets have gone out and hundreds of local events are happening this weekend, all sharing one message: our communities are stronger when we stand together.

PAVTIL-CI research team is observing the first certification exams in Soubré, Côte d'Ivoire. This is part of a national strategy to formalise competencies acquired in non-school-based apprenticeships.
Thank you to the national and regional directors of DAIP for permitting us to observe the exams.

Today is the 1st anniversary of my father’s passing. He only had 7 years of schooling before training as a gardener. It is in his name that I will lead two exciting research projects on TVET in West Africa. Thanks to funding awarded by #UKRI in the 8th round of ORA and the #SpencerFoundation.

All political leaders plus most of the population are offended by Trump's land grabbing desires.

Cannot be said much clearer! Shocking to hear the patronising and nasty way President Zelenskyy was treated by Trump and Vance.

Trump's quick "solutions" in Gaza are hilarious in the wrong kind of way. They reveal, first and foremost, his ignorance. We must challenge them at all levels.
Somebody needs to tell Trump that ethnic cleansing is a war crime & potentially genocidal. European & other leaders need to call out Trump's fascism. Silence is not an option.

The landscape of international aid is shifting. INGOs, once dominant, are facing a funding squeeze as traditional ODA declines. It's time to adapt to new funding models & technologies or risk obsolescence, Paul Ronalds, who leads @savethechildrenus.bsky.social's Global Ventures, writes in this op-ed
Opinion: As a CEO at an INGO, I know we need to adapt or die
Our response at Save the Children to a “post-ODA” world is to move to new funding models and invest in scalable solutions.
