I had a ticket for Kirill Gerstein and the MN Orchestra performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto #2 in 2020 when everything shut down. I did get to stream it. Then in early 2023 I streamed the performance of #3. Tonight I got to hear #1 in person!

Me: I've always found the analogies between Rome during the decline of the republic and the current US pretty compelling.
Also me: how did I not see this part coming? Of course rich idiots would take the wrong lesson from the cautionary tale!
