Not only is this woman insightful and funny, but her dedicated research has helped me a lot when it comes to writing period pieces.

This is why centering marginalized voices/communities is important. Even from a strictly self preservation perspective, you should be concerned because it might/inevitably will happen to you. If they aren’t safe, none of us are!!
Everyone thinks they won't become disabled and well:
1. A lot of you already are and don't realize it.
2. A lot of you will be soon because public health is dead.
3. Basically all of us will be before we die because that's how bodies work.
