I know there’s a lot going on but are we ever circling back to the Epstein Files?

The president’s involvement with his best friend’s scheme of sex trafficking minors seems a little important

Appreciation post for what a badass Barbara Stanwyck was. In Cry Wolf, she scaled a high chain link fence and jumped down as if it was nothing. She did all her own stunts while remaining a classic glamour gal.

Today was a good day with the familiar, comforting rituals of the Before Times. Those seeking to remake our country and our lives will not succeed.

Because I cannot eat everything I want on Thanksgiving, I pre-gamed by making a mushroom dressing today and ate half a pan by myself. No rules. Happy Thanksgiving!

If I was ever envious of someone's life it's Ina Garten. Her loving husband comes home on weekends but the rest of the time she hangs out with her gay friends, having lunch or playing bridge.

It can be hard to focus on anything but our current troubles, but I recommend watching 'Physical Asia' on Netflix. It pits teams from 8 Asian countries against one another in fascinating ways and includes some controversy. You will fall in love with the Mongolian team.

Trump "encouraging" Congress to pass the discharge petition is all theater. Trump doesn't need Congress to release the Epstein Files. DOJ reports to HIM. And Pam will do as he commanded—not release the files, or at least any that are embarrassing to him.

The scale at which the President is profiting from his post is staggering. Perhaps past presidents and their self-dealing snuck out with a million or so — a briefcase full of cash. This time, it's billions, which you should visualize as a fleet of school buses filled with Benjamin Franklins.

We began 2025 with real momentum. It has clearly slowed. The question is whether we’ve downshifted to a comfortable jog—or are stumbling toward recession. Tariffs and uncertainty lean the wrong way, and the shutdown’s data blackout makes it harder to tell.

Michael Wolff tried to buy New York Mag — with money from Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein.

So Wolff didn't just have a reporter-source relationship with Epstein. Nor was Wolff his informal PR adviser. They saw each other as potential business partners.
