I’ve been here awhile now but the last year(s) have beaten the desire to post rather than just read out of me. I’d like to be active again and dip my toe back into these nicer waters.

just wanna retire and go live in some quaint seaside town with my cat where i run a little bookstore that sells magical potions and spells that turn idiots into frogs and maybe help solve a local murder every now and then.

I was a rural mail carrier for three decades .
I had opportunities to do small things every day .
Water a flat of flowers or a hanging basket
while someone was at work .
Make sure the pets had water in their dishes on hot days .
Grab that garbage can before it blew away .
Small things.✨

Let the person with the cranky children go ahead of you in the checkout line. Help someone get something off the top or bottom shelf. Pick up litter. Move a fallen branch off a sidewalk. I have been on both sides of these so I *know* small things can make a big difference.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but you are on this earth for a reason. It may be you are someone’s best friend, it may be you are the caretaker to a hurt animal, it may be you smiled to someone on the bus & so they made it through the day. But you are needed. Thank you for existing.

Imma need some of you to think about thriving out of spite. I had big plans for 2025 and I’m definitely not gonna pre-derail them for likes of Elin and Tromp. I’m getting more involved. Loving harder. Writing hornier. Having more fun. I’m gonna be so kind to my neighbors, bitch.
