My bright yellow umbrella sticks out like a sore thumb in Paris, but I love it so. A little bit of Sorrento color when we’re all wearing black from head to toe. And it’s huge, which helps in these winter downpours.

Today’s first project is replacing the clothes dryer handle. The extra broken bits I found in the door housing, and wear around the latch housing tell me this isn’t the first replacement. I hate planned obsolescence…

I plan to get back to photography for the love of it soon. Fair warning: mediocre pics of birds, random textures, and maybe some bugs are on their way. But damn, even being an ocean away from my home country (US), does not reduce the increasing daily stress of seeing what’s happening back there.
