Being adopted is psychological torture. It is a lifetime of gaslighting.

I'm still seeing people asking what #SearchTheLandfill is about so I'm going to post some articles all in one place to help folks get caught up. Please spread the word, especially if you are not from Canada.

Hey NPR, can we discuss this article where you discuss the human trafficking industry then go on to claim at the end that “white parents raise beautifully diverse children.”?

There is an important distinction in how colonialism vs Indigenous practices deal with taboo and taboo animals that is important to why Indigenous ways are more sustainable

Adoption makes every family event triggering. How am I supposed to live this every day???

99% of what I talk about on social media is adoption related & angry but I just want ppl to know I actually do have a cozy happy little life with my nonbinary partner, (a nurse who also loves reading, thrifting and cats.) We live in the redwood forest & get to cuddle by the fireplace.

Adoption is rooted in ownership.
Adoptees are denied the rights to know our families, our cultures and our languages.

It’s extremely problematic to view ownership of people as a right, rather than a VIOLATION of the adoptee’s rights.

If you've never contemplated the negative impacts of baby boxes, I urge you to read this article.

If you care about social justice, you should take the time to understand why these boxes are not the answer.

I don’t want to be adopted anymore. Legally I am a stranger to my family. My adopters can annul but I can’t. I’m an object. I am owned.

There’s no such thing as ethical adoption under capitalism.

"Is it not violent for a child to go to bed hungry in the richest country in the world? I think that is violent. But that type of violence is so institutionalized that it becomes a part of our way of life. Not only do we accept poverty, we even find it normal" - Kwame Ture

The older I get the angrier I am for being adopted.

The harder I look at it the uglier it gets.
