Q: how does chromatin move?

Using MINFLUX, SPT & SRLCI, we track chromatin dynamics across 7 orders of magnitude in time to provide answers www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

So I've gotten some secondary confirmation of this, sorta, though it's possible it's—this will shock you, surely—a bit chaotic in its implementation.

I'm also hearing that at least in some sub-institutes, phones and laptops are having location services turned on remotely where before they were off.
More from inside NIH:

Per a source with knowledge, for all internal research (of which there is like $10 billion worth or so), ALL purchasing shut down as of yesterday.

That means gloves, reagents, anything involved with lab work, which means a lot of that work will stop.

I am a biologist. This policy is based on disinformation and is also extremely harmful to many of our community members.

Here is your biological truth: there is no single and universal set of criteria that delineates or defines "distinct" sexes. We are a beautifully variable species!

Trump will sign an executive order on Monday that says it's the policy of the United States to recognize two biologically distinct sexes, one of many executive actions the incoming administration plan to take, an incoming White House official told reporters on a preview conference call.

A high-throughput platform for single-molecule tracking identifies drug interaction and cellular mechanisms
Single-molecule tracking at scale, analyzing millions of cells and thousands of compounds per day, demonstrates that measuring protein motion provides mechanistic insights relevant to drug discovery.

Brief thread on our opinion article "Q-rich activation domains: flexible ‘rulers’ for transcription start site selection?". Transcription people are surely aware of the important reports on the DNA sequence determinants of start site (TSS) selection in the human genome that came out this year. 1/15

Our study published today on #bioRxiv describe the identification of a deaminase that converts 5mC to T, enabling direct sequencing of the human methylome and genome. This achievement was made possible through a collaborative effort across all departments at #NEB.

How did we get here, with a prominent anti-vaxxer nominated to lead Health and Human Services, with its $1.7T budget?

Much of it can be traced to this retracted 1998 paper, falsely linking the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine to autism. 1/3
