Theme for #BirdOfTheDay today from @robcrank68.bsky.social is #FavouriteOfTheMonth, and my favourite is probably the great spotted woodpecker posted last week, but this one legged black-tailed godwit photographed yesterday also comes close.
It will also do nicely for #FlyDay

🌱 Spot on Rick & great post @djosofresh.bsky.social. The meristematic (undifferentiated) tissue in the rib of the leaf blade does not share the edge chimera, variegated plants only by division. Pics I posted on "that other platform" a while back, at a nursery where they were unaware of this trait.

Here is a snake plant that I propagated in soil. It took months to root and a few months more to sprout new growth. When propagating snake plants from a cut leaf, the new growth does not share the same leaf colors & characteristics as the mother plant.
