To be 100, I do find it annoying. But not annoying like "I'm mad at you." Annoying like "Your post automatically registers in mental dumb guy voice to me without my thinking about it." Like "methinks" basically.

my expectation: "backspace with text selected deletes the text"
current behavior: sometimes it deletes one char at cursor instead, even though the cursor may not be visible. i get this if i cmd+a select, but also sometimes with mouse-selecting.

inside the tweeter's studio: i was going to explicitly say that "Phase 2" is installing blades at the wrist opening so that when you put your hands in it chops them off, spraying blood everywhere, but i decided to leave it to the imagination.
