One common defect in urban trees are stem-girdling roots, where, rather than growing outwards, a root will wrap around its own trunk, limiting growth and nutrient flow, and eventually destabilizing the entire tree.

I’m working on a street tree inventory and have mapped hundreds of ashes dying due to EAB infestation. Every once in a while I find one that’s so far completely unaffected, like the one on the left.

Out working on a tree inventory on one of the hottest days of the summer so far, and the value of shade for people moving around Trenton on a day like this can not be overstated.

I called my Congressperson about it (replacement-level Dem, Donald Norcross), and the letter his office sent me back noted that the arrest “raises concerns” about the 1A then spends a lot of time condemning violent and intimidating rhetoric, which Khalil has never credibly been accused of!
