AI will help this startup speed up medical diagnoses and treatment plans, and improve the patient experience, by actually reducing access to trained medical personnel and increasing the number of patients per doctor four- to five-fold. Is there any limit to naïve techno-enthusiasm, I wonder?

“Our focus is really on what we can do to pull the doctor out of the visit,” says Akido’s CTO.

Canadian voters or people following the Canadian election, is there any good blog/website to consult pools and projections for the upcoming election? I remember using tooclosetocall.ca in previous elections, but it is not updated anymore.

The White House said Russia escaped tariffs because sanctions preclude "meaningful trade". But Russia actually sent $3bn of goods to America in 2024, more than many other states hit with duties. Its $2.5bn trade surplus would have meant a 40% tariff rate. www.economist.com/finance-and-...

Unsurprising (for lack of a better word) study on people's opinion about the friendliness of the US, Canada and Europe. What is perhaps surprising is how much supporters of hard-right parties in Europe became more favorable to the US since November 2024.
